At a festival in Arizona, I had the opportunity to observe this young man for a period of time and was mesmerized by his intensity. As I painted his image, I tried to pair the pigments and style with the feelings he elicited from me that day.
This painting won an "Artist of Promise" visual arts award in Arizona.
