About the Artist
Carol was born in Boston, Massachusetts, but moved to the West shortly after her college graduation. She resided in Montana full-time for more than 30 years, and now divides her time between the desert of Arizona and the Flathead Valley, Montana. Carol's formal training and first careers were in the fields of education, psychology and counseling, and her fascination with the human spirit is clearly reflected in the intimate figurative paintings that she creates.
She has studied with and been influenced by the work of Charles Reid, Timothy Clark, and Ted Nuttall, as well as a plethora of other skilled artists. Most of her work is rendered in watercolors, and her paintings are held in collections from coast to coast. She is a Signature Member of both the Montana Watercolor Society and the Northwest Watercolor Society.
In addition to frequent participation in juried exhibitions and annual shows, a selection of Carol's work may be viewed in Montana at Glacier Neuroscience Center and Kalispell Grand Hotel, and in Arizona at Harper Studio.
